  SLEEPING MASKS
  January 23, 2010. Madrid (Spain)

Donning sleep masks, fifty people walked the streets near the center of the city. The sleep masks prevented them from seeing entirely.

They walked freely and alone, not following any particular route. Anonymous guides were present to monitor their safety.

For someone who is used to seeing, walking the streets without the ability to see transports the person to a new place, a new reality. It is a place where time intensifies, distance becomes greater, sounds become more acute, balance is compromised, fear can overwhelm, and trust becomes crucial.

An mmmm… action for Las Mil y Una Voces.
